Man 2012 has flown by. As the year winds down I take a look back at this year in my life and realize that so many gears are turning for me right now it is insane. This will be my final blog of the year but rest assured I will be back in January! So this is going to be a breakdown of all things that have happened to me personally in music and how things will change slightly next year.
First I became a rap manager to Draztik, Black Project, and Sikone aka Mickey Mangles. This was my first taste of the music business. While it has been a huge learning process and Draztik had a few things come up that prevented our business relationship from going further he will always be the guy that got me into the studio to begin my producing and managing. I have no clue what his plans are from this point forward but I am his homie and am always available if ever he should call. Sikone is doing his thing out in New Mexico. He has an album due to be released next year. I hope to get in the studio and help with that in the new year for sure. Black Project still has a ton of work to do on their debut album "Highly Classified" as of right now the album might have to be delayed a little bit but I am still pushing for the 4/20 release date. We have some great collabs on there with Mars and Bukshot as well as a few more artists we can't mention yet. Both Black Project and Sikone I hope to get out to the Phoenix/Tucson area for some shows in the next year. Wicked Butterfly Entertainment will be the top entertainment/promotion company here by this time next year, that is the goal.
Next I sent in a sample review to Faygoluvers.net to try and get a spot reviewing CD's and shows for the website. I got the spot and am loving every minute of it! I have also been asked and have done several interviews for them and look forward to doing more in the future. I got nothing but family love to Scottie, Ian and all the Faygoluvers.net staff and fans!
The third thing that happened was I got asked to join American Media Distribution as a freelance reporter! While my first official assignment isnt until January I hope the coming year will grant me the opportunity to expand my reviews, interviews, and grip on the entertainment community. That being said I will take that opportunity and say that starting Jan 1, 2013 I will have 2 official music/media blogs. This one will be maintained for all thing underground. The other one will be for more mainstream media such as movies, music, and news. I hope my readers will take a chance on that blog and continue to enjoy my opinions about things other than the underground. I will most def keep this blog going as I do this for the family and that will never change. I will get the link to the new blog out as soon as I get that post done Jan 1, 2013.
This year I got to attend the Gathering and it didnt disappoint. I am hoping to go next year but we will see how things shake out.
I am always willing to sign new acts to Wicked Butterfly Entertainment. If you are interested hit me up so we can discuss the details of what I offer and what we can do together. I truely believe that this company is in line to do great things. I have the effort and dedication to make it happen as long as an artist is willing to let me do the job.
Last but not least I wanted to thank each and every one of you that comes on here, reads my blogs and opinions, and in some cases leaves me feedback. I love each and every one of you and hope next year to expand not only my own borders fo music but yours as well.
A Juggalo is not someone who is jumped in, created in a high school, or someone who is claiming it to be faddish. A Juggalo is born a Juggalo, pure and simple. Once you realize you are a Juggalo you can stop listening to the music, quit buying the CD's and merch, and renounce the name itself but you will always be family in my book. Do not let anyone ever tell you you are not good enough or you don't deserve anything because of who you are.

Huge news!
This week has been awesome for me and all of my performers. First off I found out I am getting a new job in Tucson, AZ. What does this mean for my music ventures? It simply means that Wicked Butterfly Entertainment is expanding our wings to cover Arizona now too! So for those AZ Juggalos and Underground artists be ready cause we are coming out there and taking over!! Second, Black Project will finally be exposed to the world in the form of their debut album, Highly Classified, on 4/20/2013. This album will be fifteen tracks and contain five tracks with exclusive features. I can say we will have a collab with none other than that underground hustla Mars. I confirmed this week we will also have a song featuring a guy who is blowing up thanks to a little EP you might have heard of, Underground Avengers, Bukshot will make an appearance! There are 3 other artists we are in negotiations with at the moment and until I have confirmation I have to keep those Highly Classified.
Wicked Butterfly Entertainment is proud to be a few of the featured acts at this years Slaughterfest in Albuquerque, NM on Sept 28 and 29. Thanks to Bloodshot for making that happen. I can promise you we are bringing that straight West Texas fire. I really don't think you all are ready for the flavor we are bringing. Draztik the Terrible will be representing on day one. Black Project and Sikone will be holding it down on Day two! So come check it out if you are in the area, I promise you will not be disappointed.
Sikone will have his debut album sometime in the near future. The album will be called Powerfull. As of right now it is unknown exactly what will come out of the reborn Sikone but I can say he is always unpredictable and never disappoints.
Draztik the Terrible is slated to release Between Heaven and Hell on Dec 21, 2012. As of today I cannot say what or who will be on the album but I can say he has been putting in work. He has been writing, recording, remixing, and doing all he can to make this one of this years hottest releases.
We have so much flavor coming to your earholes the next 12 months it is unbelievable! So be on the lookout for all updates here on the blog and on my Twitter and Facebook.

We invade tomorrow night!
Yes you heard that right Tomorrow night in Albuquerque, NM the entire Wicked Butterfly crew will be performing at The Orchid Chamber! This is New Mexico's first chance to see the full lineup all in the same night. I am talking Draztik the Terrible, Black Project Productions, and Sikone! This show promises to be an event for the ages.
As I said in my last blog this is not just a music event it is a bridging of the divide. New Mexico and West Texas have a huge amount of talent to share. This is a great chance for any underground fan in Albuquerque to check out what we have going on out here. It is also a great chance for us to make new Homies and see what you all are doing over there. So come on out and enjoy great music and maybe find some new stuff to jam.
A special thanks must go out to Dmize for inviting us all out there. If you don't know who he is click the link and check him out!

Bridging the divide
At the beginning of the month I signed Black Project Productions and Sikone to Wicked Butterfly Entertainment as you may know, if not check out my other posts for that news! Anyway a few days after signing them I got a text from Dmize in Albuquerque, NM about a show he was putting on call Night of the Wicked. He asked if Draztik the Terrible would perform at the show. As I was answering I got another text from 806 Outlaw asking if I could get them on the show as well. So once I asked Dmize he said it was all good and all of the artists I had could come do the show! How does any of this apply to the title of my blog? Well it is simple, 806 told me he had been trying to get a show in Albuquerque for about 2 years with no success. As I asked some questions it became clear there had been issues in the past and very few Texas underground rappers had been welcomed into that city. The war of words had prevented great music from being shared across borders. It became a feud the likes of the Hatfield's and McCoy's. Because of petty egos rappers had been shut out of certain markets. So the title Bridging the divide means just that. This show on Friday night will be all of our opportunity to leave petty differences aside and enjoy a night of music together.
I do not care what kind of "beef" someone might have with another performer. We should all be professionals and adhere to a thing called professional courtesy. That means we can all be on the same show and not have to hang out or anything. We can all perform, get some love, and then go our separate ways. I am asking every artist on the ticket to please treat this night as a celebration of all of our accomplishments, because if we plan to make moves and put the SW on the map we all need to support one another professionally! I can tell you as the manager of all the artists on Wicked Butterfly we are coming there to blow the roof off the place. We will make a mark with our performances and nothing else. We will not be there to start any problems and hope you all will do the same. We don't have to like each other to co-exist.
As I have told my guys Success is the best revenge. That simply means talk is cheap and if you succeed your enemies can't say anything. I know we can make this show live as hell. I know each and every artist on there puts on a show. I know we can make it a fun night with zero issues. This is our chance to make people see we are not all wanna be thugs and criminals.
Let's all do the right thing this weekend.

Who is Sikone?
Sikone aka Mickey Mangles has officially signed with Wicked
Butterfly Entertainment! Yes that is two
major announcements in two days! First
Black Project Productions and now Sikone.
I have been asked on several occasions who is Sikone? My answer is always the same; I am still
trying to figure it out!
Known by his trademark Joker style tattoos and verbal skills, Sikone quickly made a name for himself in the West Texas rap community. In 2005 Sikone started off writing songs for his guitar. In 2008, the Lubbock, TX legend himself, S.I.N went out of his way to find
Sikone. He had heard from several
different people Sikone could produce bad-ass freestyles in both Spanish & English. So after listening to several of these
freestyles, he asked if Sikone would do a feature for his album. That combination hit the radio & the
streets pretty damn hard. After that
S.I.N. helped Sikone put out his first mix tape "Back from the Dead Again"
in 2009. In 2010 S.I.N.’s Brother Mr.
Phil came to Lubbock, TX from Austin, TX & began producing the duo. This was the beginning of the group Tierrosos.
They dropped their first album the same
year but have produced nothing since then. Sikone was tired of being idle in music and ended
up working with a group called The Jokaz in 2011. He signed with them under the
alias Mickey Mangles. The group made the
decision to change their name from The Jokaz to S.M.K (Sik Made Killas). To
this day it is still unclear how everyone ended up in the group. S.M.K. really made a name for themselves in
both Texas and New Mexico and will be heading out on the National Blackout tour
this summer. In July 2012 Sikone aka
Mickey Mangles signed onto Wicked Butterfly Entertainment for his management
needs. Once he returns from the Blackout
tour his current Sikone persona will be laid to rest. In late 2012 we will see the reemergence of
Sikone with Wicked Butterfly Entertainment and total devastation is sure to
ensue. You can be sure of one thing and
one thing only; there is nothing but world domination on the horizon!
The next year is going to be huge for Sikone, Black Project Productions, and Draztik. Look for releases by all 3 in the next 12 months. Also be on the lookout because these guys will be hitting the road in West Texas/New Mexico. The next performance you can catch the entire Wicked Butterfly Crew at is "Night of the Wicked" in Albuquerque, NM on July 27, 2012. Come by the Orchid chamber and check them out!

Keep it Reel tour in Amarillo review
I was so excited this week to have the opportunity to attend the Mars/Mastamind Keep it Reel Tour in Amarillo, TX. Since the T.O.N.E-Z and Mars show back in April I have had a good working relationship with Mars. My one reservation was how well it was being promoted and if there would be any fans that came out for the show. Well my fears were realized when we arrived at 6 pm (when the show was supposed to be starting) and no one was there yet. I contacted the promoter who informed me they were on the way. Once they arrived they told me the start time had been changed to 7:00 pm. About 6:55 pm they said they were bumping it til 7:30. Then 8:00. And finally 8:15 pm we started. I had been asked to host the show which I thought was cool. So here is how the actual performances went down!
First on the mic was Concrete Connection and Doeh4Sho. They did about a 15-20 min set. Nothing to spectacular but definitely not a waste of time. It was very hip hop and well performed.
After they were finished 2 Skare took the stage. I was pleasantly surprised by his set due to the fact he changed the set list, removed the song I knocked him for in the last show review, and added some new original material. He is still very raw and needs to work on his stage presence but we are all a work in progress. Good work making it fresh.
Then we come to Wicked Butterflies Own Draztik the Terrible. While his set did not have the same energy it did last week I think it was due to his frustration with how these shows have been promoted. Of all things I felt motivated to hop on the mic and help him out as his hype man (yeah I wasn’t very good but for a first time with no planning or practice I didn’t expect much). We had fun and with some work we can make a dope show happen.
The next group was a Texas Hip Hop group, can’t remember their name but they did not impress me at all. They walked all over each other on the mic and really came across badly. It was 4 guys and all 4 were rapping at one time a lot of the show. They tried to sing and failed miserably.
An artist named Hollow was next. He did well and for his last song he brought a ton of people on stage to record a video for that song. Show was dope.
Klouded Judgement was up next. They did a good set. Not much to say about it other than it wasn’t horrible.
Sikmob did their set, but I was not in the building for it so I have no opinion.
Wicked Wayz went next and absolutely tore it up! I love watching their show. They use blacklight paint so when they get on stage you can’t see that they are painted. Then as the show starts they hit a mix of strobe lights and blacklights. When those are on the paint appears and makes for a very unique experience.
Now we get to some massive bullshit. Mars was trying to get his set ready with the sound guy at the venue. Something wasn’t working right and they had a dispute. The sound guy was really disrespectful and Mars decided not to perform the set. That is all I know about what happened and I cannot speculate on anything else. The bummer was Mars didn’t perform. But on the block next was Mastamind.
Mastamind took the stage about 11:45 pm. This sucked because it was an all ages show til midnight and I had my 3 sons with me. So 15 min into his set I had to leave with my family. His show was looking very legendary as expected.
Now what I do know is that Black Project ended up having to not perform due to childcare issues as well. This is crap. Due to the time issues and other things I was unable once again to see Born Wicked, Sik Made Killas, or the end of the Mastamind set.
The promoter had 14 artists they wanted to perform, way too many! The schedule was poorly planned. There was absolutely no promotion other than a Facebook event page and a few posts on Facebook. I hate to say it but this is the last local show I am going to do with this promoter. They have failed 3 shows in a row to even get people in the door and all of the shows have been horribly planned and executed. My artists are scheduled to perform at the Mini-Gathering in Sept and we will still do that show, but only because of the co-promoter for the show, Dmize. I spoke with him yesterday and he guaranteed me it would not happen then. I am willing to give him a chance but the other promoter, no way.
I sincerely hope anyone reading my blog appreciates my honest take on these shows. I would love to get your feedback or suggestions for how I might improve these reviews.

Upcoming events for Wicked Butterfly
We are almost in July and that means we are coming up on our busiest month of the year so far. So this is a look at what we have on the agenda this month.
First I am happy to announce that Wicked Butterfly Entertainment has come to terms with artists in the Lubbock and Amarillo areas. The full details on these 2 artists will be posted as soon as they become official. Now this month we have 3 shows within the first 2 weeks. Next Thursday Draztik the Terrible will be opening up for none other than Miss Kisa. She comes out of the great state of Florida and the show in Amarillo is going to be hype as hell. Then a mere 6 days later on July 11 also in Amarillo Draztik will be opening up for none other than that West Coast Killa himself Mars and the legend himself Mastamind on their Keep it Reel Tour. On July 15 Draztik will perform at a local showcase show in amarillo as well. So that is how this month will start for us. Along with that we are still in the studio pushing hard to make sure his album "Between Heaven and Hell" is ready to blow your eardrums on Dec 21, 2012.
There is a new artist I wanted you guys to be aware of and hit up his facebook page because he is going to be blowing up the scene at those shows as well. His name is Selfmade and he is one of the hottest new Hip Hop artists in Lubbock, TX. I am currently working with him to get a compelation CD put together for sale at those shows. So check out his Facebook and Reverb and check out what he has going on!
Also appearing on those shows is a group called black project productions. This is made up by 2 guys named 806 Outlaw and his homie Narkotix. They will be putting it down representing the 806! Last but not least my homie Sikone aka Mickey Mangles will be in the house with his group Sik Made Killas. So come out and check out these shows. They are all going to be hype and well worth the cost involved.
Get out and support the local music in your communities. If there are any artists you would like me to listen to and give a review let me know.

WB making moves in Texas!
So Wed I made it to the studio again with Dratik the Terrible. We did a track called Love me/Hate me. It is the latest in a long line of hot tracks we have produced in the studio so check it out! While in Lubbock I also met with Mickey Mangles aka Sikone to work out some contract details. Nothing is official and in ink yet but look for a huge post soon about that situation. While there I also met with a new artist named Selfmade. He gave me two CD's to check out and I hope to have some more details about him in the near future.
Now as Wicked Butterfly moves forward there are some huge releases on the horizon. Be on the lookout in the near future for a huge mixtape called the WB Boyz. This will include every artist signed to Wicked Butterfly Entertainment. It will be the worlds first introduction to the company and artists that I am bringing to the world. The Southwest has been slept on and that is all about to change. Then later in the year look for the debut release for Draztik the Terrible called Between heaven and hell. That will be released at the end of the year and will destroy any ideas you might have of the wicked shit. Mickey Mangles is currently working on new material but be on the lookout for a full release of Refried Beans, his most current release which gives a great look at his career both solo and a part of the groups Tierrosos and Sik Made Killas. He is also going out on the Blackout Tour with S.M.K. this summer so check him out as he comes to your city. Selfmade is in the studio as well making new tracks for your earholes. So be on the lookout for all that flavor in the next few months.
Thats the news as only I can give it. I will say if you are an artist or promoter looking to book any of these guys hit me up! They are all available for collabs and any shows you want them at.

Southwest Rap and Hip Hop
What's up people! It is Sunday and that means it is time for a new post on this page!
Before coming to New Mexico my exposure to rap and hip hop in the southwest was limited. But since coming down here I have found a hidden gem of artists that are doing things totally fresh and new to the music world. With the huge influence of latin flavor down here I have found a huge community of spanish rappers. You can definitely feel the West Coast influence but this area is also heavily influenced by the south. So you have a unique sound coming out of this part of the country. I don't think many of you that are into Rap and hip hop could name one artist doing their thing down here and that is ok. With my new company Wicked Butterfly Entertainment I hope to change the face of Hip Hop and Rap forever! We are about to explode on the scene in a way not done since the invsion of the dirty south. As many of you know I just put together my first ever rap and hip hop show featuring T.O.N.E-Z and Mars. Those who were lucky enough to come out to the show were treated to a variety of what we have to offer from this region of the world. T.O.N.E-Z brought that East Coast hip hop, Mars brought the West Coast flavor, Draztik brought a new brand of horrorcore, Mickey Mangles and his groups Tierrosos and S.M.K. hit us with Mexican rap, Worlds Kollide Records and Black Project Productions brought the Amarillo flavor, and the S.K.S.CC crew brought a mix of dirty south and SW. It was a good cross section of the influences from all over the country.
As we move forward I can tell you that there is no way anyone will know what to expect from us. We have a huge mixtape coming out soon that will expose the country to all of these artists and what they are bringing to the table. I have never known any artists that are willing to work harder or hustle greater than these people down here. That is a major reason I feel like they deserve the attention. So if you haven't yet heard from anyone down here hit up youtube! Search for these artists and let me know your thoughts:
Draztik the Terrible
S.M.K.-Sik Made Killas
Tierrosos
806 Outlaw and Narkotixx
Worlds Kollide Records
Tripola Boyz
Dmize
Born Wicked
Mickey Mangles
S.K.S.CC
So check em out so you know what is coming. Southwest rap and hip hop is about to blow everything you know out of the water!
Much love,
Juggalotus

Wicked Butterfly Entertainment
Ok so the music blog has taken a very strange turn this year. In January my intention was to get interviews with artists and make my blog the best place for information for my audience. Since then it has morphed into a monster! I have a friend Draztik who wanted me to go to the studio with him and check out what he was doing. So I went. We made a song that blew us away. Next thing I know he wants me to be his manager. I was cool with that even though I had never considered doing anything like that. So we started making music weekly at the studio. Then he hits me up to possibly do a Juggalo Jump off show with DJ Clay. I was like ok and I started looking for a second headliner. That lead me to meet T.O.N.E-Z. He was a cool dude who was down with coming to Texas for the first time. Well Clay didn't work out and I had to call T.O.N.E-Z and break the news. He was cool and said if I still wanted to do a show he was down. This led me to jump feet first into the music business. So I started planning the show, once again not having any experience what so ever in this. It was definitely a learning process and in the end I lost my butt financially. But the good news is I learned a ton and made a lot of connections in the business. So here we are May 13, 2012 and I am now running a blog, planning a CD release and working the studio for the album, managing a schedule for Draztik, Working full time, and now starting a promotions/booking/management company for artists in West Texas and New Mexico.
So I am here to officially announce that my new company Wicked Butterfly Entertainment is official. As of today my roster includes only Draztik the Terrible. But due to the show and connections I might possibly be adding 5 more groups to the mix. I can say officially that the Tripola Boyz from Lubbock are the newest members of the Wicked Butterfly family. We hope to have the contract worked out soon and be able to add them to the roster. Thanks to Mickey Mangles I have a new company logo:
Look him up for Graphics, Beats, and performances!
I am always interested in musicians or rappers to add to the roster so if you are interested hit me up at wickedbutterflyentertainment@gmail.com. I am also promoting and booking any shows in Lubbock, Amarillo, or Albuquerque so if you have a show you want here let me know!
So there you have it the back story of the birth of a new music company!!
I hope for great things in the future and thank all of you for reading my blog and sticking with me through this year!

T.O.N.E-Z and Mars in Lubbock, TX
Whats up fam! I am here with my official play by play of last weekends T.O.N.E-Z and Mars show at Jakes in Lubbock, TX.
Friday my cousin CJ and I drove into Lubbock to pick up T.O.N.E-Z and Big Ian from Faygoluvers. Once we finally met face to face it was like we had been homies for ever. Fri night we chilled out and ate at this bomb Mexican place called Mar Y Tierra. It was some of the best mexican food I have had to date. Then we headed back to the hotel and chilled out. On a side note the folks at the Red Roof in are the bomb! So we chilled out all night just waiting for Sat and our hella busy schedule.
Saturday finally came and we were up and at the breakfast by 8:30! It was really good. Had some fruit waffles and OJ. Then we got dressed for the day and headed to the mall for more Promo. We spent about 2 hours at the mall passing out flyers and having CJ filming T.O.N.E-Z meeting and taking photos. While out we decided it would be a great idea to have my cousin shoot a music video for T.O.N.E-Z new track "Spotlight" off his High Voltage album. We spent a little time at the studio that me and Draztik do our music at. T.O.N.E-Z was able to meet our music producer Scott and get to see where the magic happens. Then we had to go back to the hotel and pick up my boy Jay and my wife. We all went out to lunch and had steak and seafood. We dropped T.O.N.E-Z off at the hotel so he could catch a nap and it was off to Jakes for soundcheck. All the openers were there and soundcheck went well. Back to the hotel to get T.O.N.E-Z for the meet and greet. It was a very intimate meet and greet with a few people there. Took T.O.N.E-Z back to the hotel so he could get ready for the show. I went back to Jakes cause it was showtime. We delayed the start about 30 min so people could trickle in. Finally at 8:30 pm Worlds Kollide Records hit the stage for a devistating 20 min set. After them came my homies Black Project Records, 806 Outlaw and Narkotixx, theyhit the stage and left nothing off. After that the SKSCC crew hit it followed by Sikone aka Mickey Mangles and both of his groups, Tierrosos and S.M.K., the crowd was live. Then my artists Draztik hit the stage for his first ever appearance. He seemed nervous at first but once he fell into a comfort zone he killed it. DRP was supposed to be next but fell ill and was replaced by Leaders of the Lost. They did a really good set and had the crowd prepped for T.O.N.E-Z. Once T.O.N.E-Z hit the stage it was obvious he was in his zone. He killed old tracks, new tracks, and everything in between. I overheard some in the crowd saying it was the best live show they had ever seen and I can't say I disagree. After he left the stage the club cleared out. Not sure why everyone left cause Mars was still having his set. We got the people that had gone out for fresh air back in and Mars hit the stage. He did his set and killed it for the 30-40 remaining people (much love to him for that). The show was over. I had finally had my first show and while financially it was unsuccessful there was a lot of good things that happened.
So the show was over and all of the remaining audience and all of the openers still there were able to hit the parking lot and be in the T.O.N.E-Z video! We hope to get that released the next few weeks so be on the look out for that. Thank you to all the Fam that came out and supported the show. I appreciate all of you and love each and every one of you. Thank you to all the acts that performed without you I would have had no show. Mars and Mastamind is next so be on the lookout for that info!
All in all it was a good show. Some things on the horizon for me, well I have 2 more groups that might possibly fall into the Wicked Butterfly Family, Mars and Mastamind will be in Lubbock July 12 to kill the underground scene, and Draztik has his album we need to finish and get out to you guys in Dec of this year! So it will be a busy summer for your boy Juggalotus. Be on the lookout as I post new info here and please go show any shows here in the Lubbock/Amarillo/Albuquerque area underground scene some love. The promoters around here hustle hard to make this area a viable stop on any Psychopathic tour and if we can't show them how strong the family is here we might never get any of our big family here.
Peace til later,
Juggalotus

There is only 2 days left!
You read that right Family, there is only 2 days left, 2 days for you to get your tickets to the hottest show to come through West Texas this year! The past week there have been a few changes that I am sure you will enjoy:
1. Tickets are now just $12. Weather you get them from Ralphs Records, one of the performers, or online your tickets are going to be just $12. For those of you who are students at Texas Tech University, if you show up at the door and have your student ID I will take an additional $2 off! That means this show is just $10 for you.
2. T.O.N.E-Z has added a free T-Shirt to all VIP packages. So for $25 you now get a 2 hour meet and greet with T.O.N.E-Z and Big Ian of Faygoluvers, a copy of his 2008-2011 Best of Underground Collab CD, and A T.O.N.E-Z T-Shirt to add to your swag.
3. For those in attendance T.O.N.E-Z informed me last night he was going to be recording this performance for later release. This means if you are there and front stage you will be in a future T.O.N.E-Z video release! How sweet is that!
4. The hottest girl in the club contest is still going down and looking to be fresh as hell as Special K hits the stage with her sidekick G and they bring the girls on stage to show off as only lettes can. Bracket system will be in effect so you will have to blow the crowds minds. The winner walks away with a fresh $100 bill.
So let me recap. If you are a hot Juggalette and a student you pay $10 to get in. Sign up for the contest and have the possibility to walk out 10 times richer! T.O.N.E-Z has added a ton more freshness for the VIP's and crowd. Tickets are $3 cheaper cause lets face it the economy sucks right now and we are all Family.
This is not only going to be a Family affair it is going to be a Hip Hop/Rap affair. Lets get Jake's rocking and show Mars, T.O.N.E-Z, and our local artists how much love West Texas has for the underground. You could go to X-Fest but why spend almost $100 to see bands who may or may not just go through the motions to get a paycheck. The artists on this show are all hustlin trying to make it. They are consistantly on the grind. Let's make this show Hype. Lets get drunk, have some fun, and spend some good old fashioned "Family Time"

6 more day to get tickets
Alright people we have just 6 more days for you to get your tickets to the hottest underground show this month!
We have VIP tickets still available for just $25. That includes a meet and greet with none other than T.O.N.E-Z the day of the show, a copy of his 2008-2011 Underground Collabs CD, and getting some of your stuff autographed! He is definitely a cool dude to hang out with and the VIP is worth the extra $10 for the CD alone.
Then the show itself is going to be a great party with artists from the Lubbock area such as SKSCC crew, Black Project Productions very own 806 Outlaw and Narkotixxx, Mickey Mangles aka Sikone, Draztik the Terrible, the DRP and last but definitely not least them boyz from Worldz Kollide Records will be in the house! The headliners can't be beat. First we have T.O.N.E-Z. He hails from New York and is most popular for his hit track "Long Hard Times to Come" which happens to be the theme song for the wildly popular hit show on FX called Justified. He earned an emmy nomination for the song and became the first rapper ever nominated in that category. He brings that East Coast Flavor to this show. Next is Mars. He came through here with Boondox not to long ago and tore it up. I did an interview with him on that tour and you can hear that here. He is coming from the West Coast and bringing that horrorcore we all love. He just released the Zodiac Mixtape on March 20 and is most definitely a CD you need in your collection. He is cool as hell to and we are so happy to have him on the show.
But that's not all that is going down! Jakes has a fully stocked bar so you can come and get tore up during the show.
Finally we are having a contest to find the hottest girl in the club. It is super easy. Buy your ticket, come to the show and sign up for the contest, get on stage and we will let the crowd vote. The winner will receive a $100 prize. How easy is that! A $15 investment and you could walk out with a Benjamin in your pocket.
So get your tickets now! Tickets are also available at Ralph's Records in Lubbock, TX or by contacting any of the openers or me. Super easy to score tickets to the show.
I look forward to meeting all my family at this show.

Opening acts in music
So I have ventured into the studio as a producer and into the real world as a Booker, promoter, and manager. So far it has been good but there have been things I have seen that worry me about the underground music scene. First off I had a few opening acts for the T.O.N.E-Z show I am booking in Lubbock ask how much I was charging them to perform. My first question was Why would I charge you to perform? The answer I got was "that's how it is done around here" Well I cannot accept that! Now that I am managing Draztik the Terrible I see the cost involved in making an album, mixing, getting guest spots, etc. If you are an opener for any tour unless it is a huge name in the business you should not have to pay someone who is making money off you in ticket sales anyway, that is them screwing you over royally.
Another promoter on facebook posted some rules to proper promotion here is just a few:
1. BOOK YOUR LOCAL ACTS (SUPPORT ACTS) TO PROMOTE THE SHOW AND SELL THOSE TICKETS.
2. MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT ON YOUR TICKETS FOR YOUR SUPPORT ACTS TO MAKE A DOLLAR OR TWO OFF OF IT. (i.e.: SELL TICKETS AT 7- LET THEM KEEP 2 OFF EACH TICKET. ALL COMMISSION. NEVER PAY DIRECT, UNLESS THEY HAVE A KNOWN NAME LIKE SAID HEADLINER OF TOUR).
3. JUST BECAUSE SAID ARTISTS NAME IS ON FACEBOOK OR ANY OTHER MEDIA SITE SAYING THEY ARE GOING ON TOUR AND HAVE FLIERS ALL OVER THE INTERNET, NOR THE NAME IN THE MARQUEE DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN ALL THE FANS KNOW THAT ARTIST IS COMING TO TOWN. MOST PROMOTION IS DONE WORD OF MOUTH AND VIA FLYER. HARD WORK AND DEDICATION MAKE A SHOW.
4. DO NOT HAVE ARTISTS PAY ON TO THE SHOW, UNLESS ITS OK-ED WITH THE TOUR. THERE'S NO WORK IN THAT. OR IT MEANS DOUBLE FOR YOU. THAT ALSO JEOPARDIZES YOUR SHOW BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO PROMOTION BEHIND IT. THAT'S WHY THIS BUSINESS IS CALLED "PROMOTIONS"
So looking at those rules why on earth would any openers feel like they should pay to play. You are not only helping the Booker/promoter by performing but you will be helping promote as well. That is a huge deal because the promoter alone cannot bring as many fans as when the openers are getting something for their hard work and getting the word out.
The other problem I have encountered is other promoters. Why if I have a show I am booking in the same city on the same day am I all of the sudden "stepping on your turf" or "starting something" there is plenty of groups/artists/acts that all Bookers and promoters can make money. And if a group promised you they would do your show in planning but eventually agree to my show because yours is not going anywhere that is an issue for you and them to work out, why am I involved? I am new to this business but am learning quickly that while I may occasionally get stepped on because I am honest in my dealings does not mean I am a doormat. So any promoter that thinks I am I hate to say you will be in for a shock when I not only take your shows and openers but run you and your BS out of town.
Opening acts deserve better treatment. Just because I would like to make money does not mean I can screw people who are helping me over. So please all you up and coming acts, don't sell yourselves short. If a promoter wants you to pay $200-300 to do a 20 min set and another promoter will give you a 20 min set for nothing and let you keep a buck or two on the tickets you sell, make the right choice. It's time we take back the underground.
We are all family but that does not mean all people in the game can be trusted.
MMFWCL,
Juggalotus

Show at Jakes April 21, 2012
For those people thinking ICP will be at Jakes on April 21 I have some bad news. I am booking and promoting the show and I have no knowledge of them making an appearance there. Once again ICP WILL NOT be performing at Jakes on April 21!
The show is Headlined by T.O.N.E-Z and Mars. It is going to be one hell of a show. But in fairness to the family I do not want anyone buying tickets under false expectations. This Mini Gathering will mark the first time that T.O.N.E-Z has made it down this way and we want the show to be hype and fun but not at the expense of the family. So there you go. Hope to see you all at the show. Tickets are on sale now here:
http://tickets.frontgatetickets.com/choose.php?a=1&lid=66275&eid=75103
VIP's will get a free T.O.N.E-Z CD and get to meet the madman himself from 4-6 pm the day of the show!
We are also having a contest at the show to find the hottest girl in the club. The winner as selected by the crowd will win $100!! How fresh is that, we could all use money right now!
Thats all fam.

SikOne & Psycho Krew in Albuquerque
While we were in Albuquerque, standing in line, we managed to meet a few fellow ninjas who want to get their names out there as musicians. Well, part of juggalo support is giving these guys some props, right?
First off, we had a long, fresh-ass conversation with a group out of Arizona called Psycho Krew. I see that they just joined facebook, so if you like 'em, go over there and give 'em some love. Otherwise, they have a more pimped-out myspace profile with some tracks on it, for those of you still rockin' it over there.
Sadly, the concert was invaded before these guys had a chance to perform, and we all got scattered before they could give us their tracks. (So guys, if you're reading this, hit us up and send us anything new you got!) But, I did go onto youtube to get something for all of you to listen to. This was my favorite track of the ones I found.
The other performer we talked to was the first one to perform once everything started. His name is SikOne, and he's from Texas. He was tight; everyone seemed to really like him. He was real quiet out in the parking lot, but when he got in, he tore it up, with some of his homies to help out. Here's the facebook, and a site to check him out at. The bio says:
IM SIKONE OF THE CHICANO RAP GROUP TIERROSOS. REPRESENTING TEXAS TIERRA ENTERTAINMENT. WE MAKE OUR OWN BEATS, PRODUCE OUR OWN MUSIC, BOTTOM LINE IS WE OWN OUR SHIT! (NO MIXTAPE MATERIAL HERE).

And this was our favorite song he did that night:
Okay, ninjas, that's all from me for now! MWCL
