Petition to Albuquerque

Scottie D at Faygoluvers posted a link yesterday to a petition began by New Mexico Juggalos to the Mayor of Albuquerque to reverse his ban on Psychopathic artists.  I have signed it and am encouraging all Juggalos and Juggalettes no matter where you live to sign it.  This kind of discrimination has got to stop.  No other fan base has had to endure what we have.  This is a call to action and I hope all of you will sign this as we attempt  to make a difference.

Let Us Enjoy Our Music @ PetitionOnline.com
Now on a side note they also posted an interview with Scott Hall of wrestling fame claiming he is now a huge part of Psychopathic sports!  I am for it if we can get him off his drug/alcohol issues.  Big news for us wrestling fans.

Did anyone watch the hatchet attacks this past Sat night?  I couldn't but would love to hear your thoughts.

Peace,

ICP IPPV, DMA's, Haters

So Juggalos/Juggalettes I have found a few articles online that concern the fam and I am also finding nothing but hate!  First this Sat ICP will be hosting a JCW Event at The Rave.  Cool thing is if you cant make it to the show live you can hook it up on iPPV.  Whats iPPV you ask well it's internet Pay per view!  So you can be at the show from the comforts of your own living room.  Last cool thing about this is that the show online is only $3.99!  Thats right 4 bucks for hot JCW action.  Here are the links to check it out:

www.InsaneClownPosse.com

Second and almost as fresh ICP will be headlining the DMA's!  Thats right Detroits infamous will be headlining the Detroit music awards.  How fresh is that Juggalos!  ICP was up for an award last year if I remember right but this year they are the F'n Show!  Wish I could be there but not so much luck in my life.  Here is what was put out by the DMA promoter:

DMAs unveil headliners
Dennis Coffey, Mayer Hawthorne and Insane Clown Posse will be the headlining acts at this year's Detroit Music Awards, organizers have announced.

That is tight as hell.  Anyway if you go to the first link on the page it goes to a site called www.411mania.com  Pretty much a site which updates movies, music, wrestling, etc.  The hate I spoke of in the beginning is in the comments section.  I mean ICP and Juggalos take a lot of crap from people.  But here is my feeling, if you don't like the music, group, movie, etc. Don't open and read the freaking article!  I mean I don't care for country music but I do not spend my time going to all the music sites promoting the next big country album and trash the guy or group!  I think Ice T said it best in his twitter not long ago:

"If ppl ain't hating on you, you're doing something wrong"

and

"A person hates u for 1 of 3 reasons. 1.They wanna be you 2.They hate themselves 3.They see you as a threat."

Much love family.  Keep it real and show love not hate!

Faith and Music

Today's blog is going off track a little bit but not too far.  I have been asked recently if being a Juggalo and a member of my church are contridictary.  Like being one is the opposite of the other.  My response was a simple one but I will elaborate it here a bit more.  I do not feel as though the two things are opposites.  Both sides teach me to love all humans and not discriminate against anyone because of gender, race, religion, etc.  Both have brought me a lot of peace and comfort in my life.  My belief in both is made stronger everyday by my actions and the response it brings from those around me.  The devotion to both is a must.  I mean I have to be completely trusting that the things I am taught in each is right.

So I am asking all those who read my blog or just stopping by, does being devoted to a certain faith mean you cannot be a Juggalo?

I understand to the common listener ICP might come off as evil or wicked.  But if someone takes the time to understand the meaning behing the message they would find that it is not at all what it seems on the outside.  They would find the devotion to a God.  They would see the talk of murder in the music is simply their way of expressing their displeasure with those in society who are not good for humanity.  I know I do not support wife beaters, child molesters, rapists, wealthy people who care for nothing except money and greed, racists, or the corrupt.  I know a lot of people cannot get past the graphic nature of the music to hear the message.  They can't see tracks like "Pass me by", "Miracles", "Wind me up", "Thy Unveiling" and other tracks that have no killing in them.  But instead spread a positive message about God and the many things people take for granted about our Earth.  Those of us who have been open minded enough to hear these messages have been profoundly affected.

The whole Meme aspect of Miracles should tell people that the book may not match the cover.  Sure a lot of what they talk about most people would not classify as miracles, but I would.  If we start to view the world through the eyes of a child we might notice that small things really are miracles.  That song single handedly made me view the world in a different way.  I remember being 8 or 9 and not understanding the way magnets worked.  It amazed me and I found myself experamenting with magnet trying to figure it out.  People today want everything explained.  But the one thing that we will never have an explaination for is Death.  We don't know what happens when we die.  Most believe we go to heaven and it is total bliss.  Some believe we are reborn as something else.  Some believe nothing happens.  The great thing is we never know.

As I close this blog I ask all the Family to remember that ALL Juggalos and Juggalettes are our family.  Those who are not in the family and knock our music are misunderstood.  It is our job as Juggalos/juggalettes to set the example.  To be the group of people that regardless of our music can rise above hate and be the perfect example for others.  If we begin to change the view the others will follow.  Believe in a God or supreme being.  There is no harm in questioning simple things and enjoying the small miracles.  Keep an open mind.  We need not fight with one another, there is enough hate outside our family.  Keep your head up and try to keep your eyes on the positives.  Much family love to all my family.

My complaint with the Albuquerque PD!

Juggalos and Juggalettes I have officially filed a complaint against the Albuquerque Police Department about the shutting down of the ABK show.  I went online and found a way to file a complaint.  So I filled out the online form and submitted it.  Well yesterday I recieved a registered letter from the internal affairs part of the Police department requesting my signature on the comlaint and informing me they were going to look into the issue.  Now don't get me wrong I do not expect anything to come from this but it is a step in the right direction to maybe getting some opinions changed about our community.  I will scan in the complaint and post in this blog later today so all of you can see what was submitted and be aware of the action as it continues.

Now on another note I am so appreciative of Scottie D and Faygoluvers.  Without their support my blog would not have had near the hits it has gotten in the past week.  Much love to Scottie and the crew!

Please check out the two artists Special K spotlighted.  We met them at the show in NM and they were some cool Mutha Fackos.  New artists trying to get ahead and we here at the Juggalo Infanry will do our best to help promote them.  For your info, Special K is my Lette.  We have been together now for 13 years and love the subculture and want the best to come to all the Fam.

Much Love,
  Juggalotus!

SikOne & Psycho Krew in Albuquerque

While we were in Albuquerque, standing in line, we managed to meet a few fellow ninjas who want to get their names out there as musicians.  Well, part of juggalo support is giving these guys some props, right?

First off, we had a long, fresh-ass conversation with a group out of Arizona called Psycho Krew.  I see that they just joined facebook, so if you like 'em, go over there and give 'em some love.  Otherwise, they have a more pimped-out myspace  profile with some tracks on it, for those of you still rockin' it over there.

Sadly, the concert was invaded before these guys had a chance to perform, and we all got scattered before they could give us their tracks.  (So guys, if you're reading this, hit us up and send us anything new you got!)  But, I did go onto youtube to get something for all of you to listen to.  This was my favorite track of the ones I found.

The other performer we talked to was the first one to perform once everything started.  His name is SikOne, and he's from Texas.  He was tight; everyone seemed to really like him.  He was real quiet out in the parking lot, but when he got in, he tore it up, with some of his homies to help out.  Here's the facebook, and a site to check him out at.  The bio says:

IM SIKONE OF THE CHICANO RAP GROUP TIERROSOS. REPRESENTING TEXAS TIERRA ENTERTAINMENT. WE MAKE OUR OWN BEATS, PRODUCE OUR OWN MUSIC, BOTTOM LINE IS WE OWN OUR SHIT! (NO MIXTAPE MATERIAL HERE).

And this was our favorite song he did that night:

Okay, ninjas, that's all from me for now! MWCL

Albuquerque Police can lick my nuts!

So my wife, a friend, and I all drove 3 hours to Albuquerque yesterday to go see ABK at the Orchid Chamber.  We got there at like 5:30 and had to wait for an hour until the doors opened.  I was almost in the door and I see these guys ride up on bicycles, so I look over and notice a badge sewn onto their shirts.  I keep looking to find out if they are rent-a-cops or the real deal.  Well apparently I offended said cop as he stared me down and mean mugged.  Anyway once inside I found Bonez from AMB and starting chatting about what happened on the label.  He informed me it was a mutual decision and Psychopathic is still going to help support them but the label wanted them to stand on their own, so thats cool.  The show starts with a guy named Sikone.  He looked drunk and homeless but the guy could spit.  He did about 15-20 min and I really enjoyed it.  Then a duo came on and did not do so well.  I personally did not enjoy them as much as the first guy.  They finished up and some recorded music came on for what I thought was a short intermission, turns out it was ABK and AMB doing an autograph signing!  So about 30 minutes into that my friend says "yo bro S.W.A.T. is here"  I was like yeah right and he says look.  I look over and like 50 police are in the building!!!  WTF!  So turns out the owner did not get a permit or something, the place violated fire code, there were too many people in the building, etc.  So we are hearing about 9 million reasons why they were shutting the event down and all of them sounded like complete BULLSHIT!  I personally have no love for the Albuquerque police department as of this moment.  Just because we all had the hatchet on we are somehow violating some fucking stupid rules and have to all get removed from a peaceful event.  Now I saw no fights, no tagging, no violence, no drugs, no underage drinking, no violations of code, or anything similar.  So once again we are being singled out and broken up due to our musical preference.  So anyway ABK says Fuck this where is the closest bar cause we will meet all Juggalos 21 and over there to party.  Turns out the bar was right next door.  We ended up at a place call Knuckleheads, cool place, hot waitresses, and cool fucking owners.  We ended up hanging out with ABK, AMB, and all the fam until well past midnight.  ABK was cool as shit, Bonez was the shit, and Otis was the shit until he got drunk and started shit with all of us.  But ABK stepped in like the OG he is and squashed it, like I said he is the shit!  So even though our event was shut down we still found a way as Family to hang and be together.  First for me as far as the police go but fun all around.  Oh and just for good measure my friend started his car as the police were kicking everyone out rolled his windows down and bumped "Fuck the Police" by N.W.A. take that motherfuckers!

What is a Juggalo/Juggalette?

So I am always asked what my tattoo means.  I have on my right calf a guy running carrying a hatchet with the words Denver Juggalo surrounding it.  My first instinct is just to quickly say Oh that means I am a fan of the Insane Clown Posse.  But then I fell the need to expand on that by explaining who they are, why I listen to it, what kind of music it is, etc.  So I decided to make this blog post informative about what I feel makes a person a Juggalo.  So here we go:

A Juggalo IS a fan of the Insane Clown Posse.  They are also fans of other underground Death Rap groups such as Twiztid, Anybody Killa, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Marz, Kung Fu Vampire, and many others.  Are most of those groups a part of Psychopathic records?  Yes they are.  But that is because Psychopathic has made itself the center of the genre.  A juggalo is a person who has never really fit into any certain group or click.  As fans we consider each other family.  It is a group of people with similar interests who are not concerned with race, religion, sex, or any of the other BS that divides us as people.  Throughout the world the Hatchetman symbol is recognized and Juggalos are everywhere.Anyone who questions this needs to listen to the song by ICP called "lets go all the way" it is a very good representation of what the community stands for.  For anyone who read my last blog you will understand that the current media is classifying Juggalos as a gang.  This is complete crap, but if you want my feelings on this read the last post.  I have never gone to any Psychopathic related event and had any concern for my safety.  I have always felt welcomed.  Now there is a divide between the old and new Juggalos, but much like any family there is always differences between generations.  Female fans are called Juggalettes.  They would fit the same criteria as above.  The family is always there.  They don't care where your from they welcome you.  We have a common greeting, either What up ninja or Whoop Whoop!  Now many groups with a solid cult following such as Kiss, Phish, Greatful Dead, etc. do not readily call themselves the common names of fans.  ICP and the others all call themselves Juggalos.  This is unique to the culture.  They don't stand out as the leaders or above the fans.  They consider themselves fans as well.  The term Juggalo was not created by the groups.  I have met and interacted with all of the above groups and I can personally attest that they are willing to just hang with their fans.  They are not pre-Madonnas.  They are down to earth and honestly appreciative to the fan base.

So Why am I a Juggalo?  I am a Juggalo because I love the message that is presented in the music.  I love the fans and history of the groups.  I love the fact it isn't about all the PC bullshit.  The artists say what they feel, don't let the record label censor them, and refuse to change to make it in the mainstream.  I am a Juggalo because I choose to be.  I am proud to be a Juggalo.  I will live and die as a Juggalo.  This is who I am and no matter how much hate and horrible things get said about the groups, music, fans, or beliefs will change that.  I hope this clears things up about my beliefs.  Peace and MMFWCL (Much, Much wicked clown love)

Kiss Army, Deadheads, and other rabid fans

So in the past few years I have seen the ability of a few "fans" to completely ruin the image and opinion of an entire genre of music and the fans that follow it.  Yes I am speaking of the major negative light that has been concentrated on Horrocore and the fans that make up the base.  I am a Juggalo.  I say it with pride and love for fellow Juggalos and Juggalettes.  In recent times there have been several fans that have commited horrible crimes and due to the apparel they had on at the time of their arrest, the tattoos they have, the stickers on their cars, and the music on their Ipod have begun to taint the name and public opinion toward all Juggalos.  Also due to the types of crimes they are commiting we are all now labeled Gang members!  I am sorry when I think of gangs I think crips, bloods, ms13, etc.  I don't think of ANY fans that follow any group or groups in music.  I am of the opinion that if people want to continue to refer to Juggalos as a gang then groups such as the Kiss Army, Deadheads, Phishheads, and other similar fanbases are gangs as well.  If a few bad fans can taint an entire group of people I hate to see where we would end up.  I am the first to admit that without fully understanding the sub-culture known as Juggalos and horrocore most people are only going to understand what the media puts out there.  Unless we as a society stop blaming every horrible crime on movies, music, tv, etc. and start placing blame where it belongs (with the criminal or parents of the criminal) we are setting ourselves up for failure.  We as civilized people need to stop being sheep and just going with what we are told and taking it as fact.  We need to find out the truth for ourselves.  Do research.  Listen to the music and what is being said.  Actually talk to a Juggalo who has been a fan for over a decade, because most of us are now grown with families.  We listen to music and go to concerts because we like the music.  Not because we are criminals and the mighty ICP has called us to our gang chapters monthly meeting.  We are not all criminals.  Most of us live within the laws and respect authority.  The few bad apples that have been exploited are all in their teens and trying to "rebel" against something.  And as a veteran Juggalo I am making a plea to the younger generation of fan:  We are all family, juggalo or not.  We need to love one another and try our best to make sure the "normal" people know we are capable of being civilized.  Act as though you are alway  under watch, because you are.  We are under a microscope and what we do right now will influence not only us now but generations to come.

Now on a similar note there was a group a while back that called themselves the Juggalo Holocaust.  This group absolutely disgusts me.  They not only have been Anti-Juggalo they believe that violence and beating the juggalo out of someone is the way to make a change.  They have advocated violence against all Juggalos.  They have told there members to kill anyone wearing anything psychopathic records related.  Yet this group is not on any police/government watchlist.  They are not labeled a gang.  As a matter of fact noone on any media outlet is even telling the story.  Why?

I know I am probably going to get alot of hate for this blog and that is ok.  I expect it.  Any thoughts on this would be appreciated and engouraged!

First Post

Ok so I had to start a blog to show support for the family.  I am tired of seeing negative reports on the news and other sources of Juggalos.  So I am going to use this blog to not only spread the positive but rant about the stupidness I see in music, politics, news, etc.  So if you are Juggalo family follow me and lets see if we can change the image we give to the world.  I have been down for 12 years and I am very disturbed by the new wave of Juggalo and their attitudes and actions so look for a rant in the next few days about that.  Also look for another post about my thoughts on the Juggalos being classified as a gang.  Here in the southwest we are holding it down and Juggalo Infantry is where it's at!
